چکیده

A functional analysis of protein fold interaction suggested that structural fold families have gradually acquired more diverse interacting partners while maintaining central biochemical interactions and functions. This means that the protein interaction network (map) maintains its robust architecture due to the functional constraints associated with the interactions.

Using the Protein-protein Interaction Network to Identifying the Biomarkers in Evolution of the Oocyte

Background Oocyte maturity includes nuclear and cytoplasmic maturity, both of which are important for embryo fertilization. The development of oocyte is not limited to the period of follicular growth, and starts from the embryonic period and continues throughout life. In this study, for the purpose of evaluating the effect of the FSH hormone on the expression of genes, GEO access codes for this...

Construction and Analysis of Tissue-Specific Protein-Protein Interaction Networks in Humans

We have studied the changes in protein-protein interaction network of 38 different tissues of the human body. 123 gene expression samples from these tissues were used to construct human protein-protein interaction network. This network is then pruned using the gene expression samples of each tissue to construct different protein-protein interaction networks corresponding to different studied ti...

Network Evolution: Rewiring and Signatures of Conservation in Signaling

The analysis of network evolution has been hampered by limited availability of protein interaction data for different organisms. In this study, we investigate evolutionary mechanisms in Src Homology 3 (SH3) domain and kinase interaction networks using high-resolution specificity profiles. We constructed and examined networks for 23 fungal species ranging from Saccharomyces cerevisiae to Schizos...

Study of PKA binding sites in cAMP-signaling pathway using structural protein-protein interaction networks

Backgroud: Protein-protein interaction, plays a key role in signal transduction in signaling pathways. Different approaches are used for prediction of these interactions including experimental and computational approaches. In conventional node-edge protein-protein interaction networks, we can only see which proteins interact but ‘structural networks’ show us how these proteins inter...

Conservation and topology of protein interaction networks under duplication-divergence evolution.

Genomic duplication-divergence processes are the primary source of new protein functions and thereby contribute to the evolutionary expansion of functional molecular networks. Yet, it is still unclear to what extent such duplication-divergence processes also restrict by construction the emerging properties of molecular networks, regardless of any specific cellular functions. We address this que...
